About Sydney!
Sydney Stephan (she/her) is a multi-talented artist taking the city by storm. Sydney has been an actor, musician, and artist since before she started kindergarten. An internationally acclaimed performer, she made her professional theatre debut at age 14, and by age 17 was performing with Corey Mach (And Juliet National Tour, Merrily Broadway) and Keri Rene Fuller (Cats National Tour, Six Broadway) at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival under the direction of Victoria Bussert. Sydney made her television debut on Disney Channel’s Andi Mack in Season 2.
After graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Utah, Sydney traveled to over 50 countries with Holland America Line as a featured vocalist and piano entertainer. She is now a full-time artist based in New York City, performing at venues like Fraunces Tavern, Bo Peep Lounge, and The Ivy Room. An excellent piano vocalist, Sydney has a repertoire of over 600 songs from six continents. In 2023, she released a live EP featuring two original songs, “Silver Palace” and “Alaska” available on all streaming platforms. Sydney has also recently played for Armed Forces Entertainment, Howl at the Moon, Savage Pianos, and more!
Recently, Sydney has ventured into production, launching her company Productions by Stephan. Sydney has ventured on a 2 year long project, titled Decade by Decade. An 8 part series going through the decades of music, this project will reach it’s finale in September of 2026. Sydney is also known for creating notable shows like 54 Below Sings the British Invasion & Beyond and The Annual Spooky Spectacular at 54 Below! In 2023, she produced a solo show at Green Room 42 and organized the University of Utah’s first-ever agent showcase in 2021, with guidance from Shorey Walker and the Growing Studio.
Sydney has had enriching experiences with new work. She played Flora Cranley in the world premiere of The Invisible Man at the Virginia City Opera House and enjoyed flexing her acting chops in George M. Cohan’s play Seven Keys to Baldpate. She has also workshopped and participated in readings of several new musicals in NYC, reveling in the creative process. Sydney played Bebe Benzenheimer in A Chorus Line, directed by Broadway’s Eric Sciotto and featuring original choreography by Michael Bennett. Sydney originated the role of Miss Money Honeybee from the hit children’s book of the same title. Sydney also played Porcine in New York Theatrical’s 2024 workshop of The Porker Sisters.
